1. About Us

Tote & Tread Collection is a Nairobi-based fashion retailer specialising in handcrafted tote bags, footwear, and accessories. Contact: 0107545752 | [email protected]

2. Orders & Payment

All orders are placed via WhatsApp. Prices are in Kenyan Shillings (KES). We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order. Payment is due before or upon delivery as agreed.

3. Delivery

We deliver within Nairobi and select counties. Free delivery on orders over KES 5,000 within Nairobi CBD. Delivery times and charges vary by location.

4. Returns & Exchanges

We accept returns within 7 days of delivery for items in original, unused condition. Customised products cannot be returned. Contact us on WhatsApp to initiate a return.

5. Product Accuracy

We display products as accurately as possible. Colours may vary slightly due to screen settings. Handcrafted items may have minor natural variations.

6. Intellectual Property

All content — images, text, logos, and designs — belongs to Tote & Tread Collection. Reproduction without written consent is prohibited.

7. Privacy Policy

We collect only information necessary to process orders: name, phone number, and delivery address. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Your data is stored securely using Supabase with row-level security.

8. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

9. Security

This app is secured against common web vulnerabilities including XSS, SQL injection, and CSRF attacks. All database access is governed by Row Level Security policies. Input is sanitised and validated both client-side and server-side.

10. Limitation of Liability

Tote & Tread Collection is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages beyond the value of your purchase.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2025. This policy explains how Tote & Tread Collection collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

When you use our app, we may collect: your full name, email address, phone number, and delivery address when you create an account or place an order. We also collect your profile picture if you choose to upload one.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to: process and fulfil your orders, send you order confirmations and updates, provide customer support, and improve our app experience. We do not use your data for advertising profiling or sell it to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

All your data is stored securely on Supabase — a trusted, enterprise-grade database platform. We use Row Level Security (RLS) policies so that you can only access your own data. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption.

4. Profile Pictures

If you upload a profile picture, it is stored in a secure Supabase Storage bucket with public read access (so your avatar can be displayed in the app). You can change or remove your profile picture at any time from your account settings.

5. Contact & Saved Addresses

When you place an order and opt to save your contact details, your phone number and delivery address are stored to make future checkouts faster. This data is only visible to you and admins. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.

6. Notifications

We send in-app notifications about your orders, promotions, and system updates. You can view and dismiss these at any time from the notification centre.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and associated data, and withdraw consent for data processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].

8. Third-Party Services

We use Supabase (database & storage), Vercel (app hosting), and WhatsApp (order communication). Each of these has their own privacy policies. We share only the minimum data necessary with these services.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
